Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to the highest standards, ensuring excellent quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic setting, contributing to a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining strict food safety protocols
Manage the grill station efficiently during service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Monitor stock levels and inform management of ingredients needed for upcoming service
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service during busy periods
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent skills in meal preparation, especially grilling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
Experience in kitchen operations, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous restaurant experience or serving background is advantageous but not essential
