Full job description

We are not just a village pub, we are a deli, cafe, pub, function venue, restaurant, outside caterers and anything else that you can think of. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Head Chef to help organise and run the kitchen to its full potential. In the kitchen, you will be in command, driving your team to deliver top quality dishes.

As a head chef, your passion and pride for food will shine through your dishes. You will create and inspect dishes to ensure high quality and excitement is provided at the dinner table.

Main responsibilities include:

- Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities

-help to Create and develop menus with pride, utilising a variety of existing and original culinary creations

- Plan orders of equipment and stock where needed

- Proactive if problems or defects occur and arrange for repairs where needed

- Be involved in the hiring, managing and training of kitchen staff

- Create a positive working environment, promoting cooperation and respect between co-workers.

Preferred Requirements:

- 1 year experience as head chef

- Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management

- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress

- Outstanding communication and leadership skills

- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes

- Certified health and safety training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
