Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi Skilled Operative/ Plasterer to join our construction and maintenance team. The successful candidate will possess a broad skill set across various trades, enabling them to undertake a wide range of tasks on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a proactive attitude and a commitment to high standards of workmanship. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to utilise and develop their diverse skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work.
Undertake roofing repairs and installations, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces and achieve high-quality finishes.
Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance across sites.
Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes.
Handle electrical tasks within scope of experience, including wiring and fitting fixtures.
Use hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, chisels) efficiently for various tasks.
Operate power tools (drills, saws, grinders) safely and effectively.
Fabricate components as required for specialised projects or repairs.
Maintain health and safety standards at all times whilst working across multiple trades.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.

Requirements

Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction activities.
Ability to undertake fabrication work with precision and attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges on-site.
Valid relevant certifications or licences are desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake necessary training is expected.
A commitment to health & safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. This role provides an excellent platform for skilled operatives looking to apply their expertise across various disciplines within the construction sector whilst contributing to diverse projects that demand adaptability and professionalism.
Must have a full clean UK driving licence.
NVQ in Plastering & Joinery

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
