Job Description

Main responsibilities

You’ll provide essential administrative support to the HR department. Your responsibilities will include:

Organising and maintaining accurate employee records
Updating internal HR systems, including sickness, maternity leave and other absences
Preparing HR documents, including employment contracts and new-starter information
Supporting the onboarding process for new employees
Providing payroll with relevant employee information, including absence and working-pattern details
Responding to employee and manager queries
Supporting wider HR projects, recruitment events and job fairs
Completing general administration tasks to support the HR team

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident communicating with people at all levels.

You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience in an HR administration, administrative assistant or similar role
Good computer skills, particularly across Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload
Strong written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills
A professional approach when handling confidential information
A willingness to learn and develop within HR

Previous HR experience would be beneficial, but we would also welcome applications from strong administrators looking to begin or further develop a career in HR.
