Pay Rate: £25-30/ hour, depending on experience
Days required: Mondays and Thursdays - 8 hours approx each day (8:30 am to 4:30 pm but can be negotiated)

We are a family in Wolverhampton (WV11 postcode), West Midlands. We are seeking an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Tutor/Therapist to join our team, to work with our 9-year old son as an ABA tutor. We have a well-established ABA programme that has been running for over 5 years. We are looking for someone who is fun, energetic, dedicated, motivated and creative; and is passionate in helping children with SEN. The ideal candidate should be motivated to able to work with children and families in a variety of settings, including in-home, school, outdoor parks, community centres etc.
- A background in ABA, psychology, education or caring will be preferred. The role might suit someone who has experience in working with young children in teaching / supporting in schools as a Learning Mentor, SEN Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Psychology Graduates, Assistant Psychologists, Facilitator Drama for SEN or speech & language background.
- The successful candidates must have effective interpersonal and communication skills; an ability to listen, understand, educate, advise and present and the ability to work as part of a professional team, including taking direction from managers and giving and receiving feedback to all members of the team.
- DBS check required for working in school.
- Candidates who are able to drive will be preferred (as work settings can vary).

Training/benefits:

- The candidate will be part of a Whatsapp group through which senior support can be accessed with ease, and various ideas and feedback can be shared on an ongoing basis.
Hours:
- Sessions are required on Mondays and Thursdays on a regular basis. We would like to establish a long-term relation.
- Session times typically run from 8:30 am - 4.30 pm, but exact times can be negotiated.
- Additional after-school and weekend sessions could potentially be available if required by the candidate.
Responsibilities/ Duties
- To provide and deliver 1:1 teaching to a child with ASD.
- To work on individualised targets in addition to national curriculum. These targets include speech and language development, social interaction skills, self-help skills, and Occupational Therapy exercises.
- Workshops take place at child's home/school every 3/4 weeks, where new targets are set to meet the child’s individual current needs and ongoing training for the whole team.
- Understand & feedback the strengths and weaknesses of the child, and adapt the programs and school work to make them more accessible for the child.
- Should aim high and take pride in the child’s success.
- Taking data and recording it in an efficient manner, making daily notes and sharing with parents, Track progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Provide training and support to junior ABA therapists and tutors
- Work with families to arrange variable shifts and full-time hours
