Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where excellent customer service and attention to detail are valued. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will possess strong organisational skills, good time management, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and company policies
Greet guests warmly and take drink orders accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible service
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service during busy periods
Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures at the end of shifts

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in a bar or restaurant environment, is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable manner
Good understanding of basic maths for handling payments and giving correct change
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently
Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy hours
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
Personal qualities such as reliability, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude are essential
