Full job description

RAW Services is looking for an ambitious, confident and driven Junior Business Development Manager to join our growing commercial team.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk waiting for leads to come in.

We’re looking for someone who can pick up the phone, start conversations, get through doors and build relationships.

You’ll need the gift of the gab, plenty of confidence and the ability to sell. Put simply, we want someone who could sell snow to an Eskimo.

The Role

Your main focus will be generating new commercial business for RAW Services across the South East.

You’ll be actively targeting businesses, facilities management companies, property managers, managing agents, construction companies and other commercial organisations that require our services.

You’ll work closely with our Contracts Manager, helping turn new opportunities into long-term commercial clients while also developing and growing relationships with our existing customer base.

Day to day, you’ll be:

Prospecting and identifying new commercial clients
Making outbound calls and introducing RAW Services
Getting in front of decision-makers
Booking meetings and site visits
Following up leads, quotes and opportunities
Building relationships with facilities managers, property managers and commercial clients
Identifying opportunities within existing accounts
Working closely with the Contracts Manager to develop new contracts
Helping secure reactive, planned maintenance and PPM work
Keeping on top of prospects and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
Representing RAW Services professionally at client meetings and networking opportunities

Who We Want

You don't necessarily need years of business development experience.

You do need sales experience and you need to know how to sell.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Extremely confident speaking to new people
Naturally persuasive
Comfortable making outbound sales calls
Hungry to win new business
Persistent without being pushy
Good at building genuine relationships
Commercially minded
Organised and able to manage a pipeline
Comfortable speaking with everyone from site managers to company directors
Motivated by targets and results

Experience selling into commercial businesses would be advantageous, but attitude and natural sales ability are more important to us.

RAW Services is a rapidly growing commercial maintenance contractor operating throughout Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and the wider South East.

Our services include:

Drainage | Plumbing | Heating | Gas | Groundworks

We provide reactive, planned and 24/7 emergency services to a growing portfolio of commercial clients.

Our aim is simple: continue building long-term commercial contracts and become the go-to maintenance contractor for businesses across the South East.

This role will play a major part in that growth.
