Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsman/woman to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for construction and civil engineering projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your CAD expertise within a collaborative environment, contributing to innovative infrastructure developments. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and recent graduates looking to develop their skills in a supportive setting.

Duties

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
Prepare schematics and technical documentation for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings.
Review and modify existing plans based on project updates or client feedback.
Assist in the coordination of design models across multiple disciplines using NavisWorks or similar tools.
Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and schematics in accordance with company procedures.
Support project teams during the construction phase by providing technical drawing assistance as required.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of construction processes and civil engineering principles.
Ability to interpret technical schematics and architectural plans accurately.
Experience in creating detailed schematics for infrastructure or building projects.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all drawings.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to civil engineering and construction drawings is desirable. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail who can contribute effectively within a team environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
