Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patrons. This position requires a passion for food and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for order totals.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any customer inquiries or concerns.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience would be advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
Ability to upsell menu items through effective communication skills.
A friendly disposition with excellent customer service skills.
