Suburb is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of its first bar & restaurant in Meadowhall, Sheffield, and we’re looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with beverage equipment suppliers and partners
- A complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages
- Provides exceptional and timely service to customers
- Completes and oversees set-up and clearing of the bar area
- Monitors and manages the ordering of all beer, wine, spirits, and bar tools and equipment
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, costing and preparation methods
- Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Utilises appropriate stemware/glassware as required by company standards, polish glassware, stock bar supplies to par levels
- Have great knowledge of alcohol and alcohol history
- Have passion to experiment in mixing new drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all areas
- Enforce health and safety practices and sanitation standards
General:
- Have a flexible approach to working hours and duties
- Act as an ambassador for the company and present a professional image at all times
- Treat customers and colleagues fairly and with respect, value the diversity of others and work proactively to overcome communication barriers
- Adhere to safe working practices and to the health and safety policy and procedures and food safety
- Provide highest standard of customer service

- You may also be requested to carry out other non-specific duties reasonably required for the success of the business as a whole
Required Experience and Skills:
- Previous mixologist experience
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry
- Maintains awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation
- Knowledge of alcohol and wines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with a wide range of customers
- Excellent ability to use own initiative

Salary:
£12.80 - £13.00 per hour
