Full job description

Job Summary

As a Bakery operative, you’ll be working in our Bakery department, providing vital support to ensure our products consistently meet the high standards that our customers expect. This is a very physically demanding position working in an extremely hot environment, predominantly working on our ovens. Your daily duties will include:

Mixing & processing products on both ODDY, Bread Plant and Ovens.
Weighing and hand moulding dough
General Cleaning duties
Support the delivery of key performance targets within your area, ensuring all procedures are followed with great attention to detail

This is a full time permanent position not agency work.

Shift pattern:

Day Shift – Start times vary between 5.00am – 12 noon dependant upon shift pattern and production requirements.
5 shifts between Sunday and Friday, no Saturday working and pro rata day off.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications You’ll be a hardworking with a passionate commitment to quality. You’ll have a flexible approach to work and a positive attitude, working confidently both independently and within a team. We’re also looking for:

Ability to carry out physical tasks that are reasonably required
Good level of literacy, able to read and understand procedural instructions
Complies with our high health and safety & food safety standards
Experience of working within a craft bakery or food environment.
Training is available, both in house and out sourced. There is also a staff discount scheme for our products baked on site.
