An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neurodevelopmental Team within the Medicine Care Group at Sheffield Children’s.

As part of our Autism and ADHD Single Point of Access team, you will provide efficient clerical and pathway support — from collecting questionnaires and processing private reports to handling family queries and maintaining accurate information tracking.

You will bring excellent communication and teamwork skills, working compassionately and professionally with families, schools and colleagues. We’re looking for someone who is accountable, organised, and committed to treating everyone with respect while supporting children and young people on their autism and ADHD journey.

Reporting into the Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Information management — Update electronic patient systems with accurate referral details, questionnaire status and contact information, ensuring records are complete and up to date.

Data tracking — Maintain internal databases and Excel spreadsheets to monitor incoming questionnaires, private reports, outstanding actions and pathway progression.

Family and school communication — Contact families and schools to explain referral processes, request required questionnaires, and follow up on missing information with clarity and professionalism.

Document processing — Review and process private diagnosis reports and supporting documents, ensuring details are captured accurately and escalated appropriately when needed.

General administrative support — Carry out a range of office tasks including managing shared inboxes, preparing documentation, scanning, filing and supporting the wider Neurodevelopmental Team.

Telephone enquiries — Handle incoming calls from families and professionals, providing clear information, resolving queries and signposting appropriately.
