Project Manager
Location: Sheffield
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45,500 – £52,500

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established education and estates environment, delivering capital investment, refurbishment and lifecycle projects across multiple campuses.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from initial planning and procurement through to construction and handover, ensuring delivery is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards. This role will also involve managing consultants, contractors and an internal project team while ensuring full compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of capital, refurbishment and lifecycle projects across multiple sites
Manage projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover stages
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification
Oversee contractors, consultants and project stakeholders throughout delivery
Manage and support a small professional team including technical and project staff
Monitor project budgets, programmes and performance reporting
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, planning requirements and building regulations
Support procurement processes and contract administration activities
Provide project updates and assurance reporting to senior leadership teams
Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all works

Requirements

Proven experience delivering construction, refurbishment or capital projects
Strong understanding of project management within estates, construction or property environments
Knowledge of CDM regulations, procurement procedures and building compliance
Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
Strong budget management and programme coordination skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Relevant construction, project management or property qualification desirable
