Location: Dronfield, Derbyshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off (Rotating Shift Pattern)
Pay: £13.48 – £13.97 per hour, plus shift allowance
Overtime: Regular overtime available and expected

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

Be willing and able to work a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern.
Be comfortable carrying out physically demanding work in a hot, noisy manufacturing environment.
Have a strong commitment to health and safety.
Be reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment.
Have the right to work in the UK.

Previous experience in a foundry, engineering, metals, manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and dependable Process Operatives to join our Process Department. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a well-established manufacturing business.

The Role

Working as part of our production team, you will carry out a variety of process operations to ensure castings are finished safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You'll receive full training and work with experienced colleagues while operating specialist foundry equipment and maintaining high production and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Koyama and feedline grinding machines safely and efficiently.
Carry out fettling, grinding and gauging of castings to required specifications.
Perform inspection activities to ensure products meet quality standards.
Operate the Heat Treatment Mesh Belt process.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly equipment and process checks.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Follow all company health & safety, quality and production procedures.
Work effectively with colleagues to achieve production targets.

Comfortable undertaking manual handling and physically demanding work.
Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Willing to learn new skills and follow established working procedures.

Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

Foundry
Metal manufacturing
Engineering
Production
Machine operating
Heavy industry
Industrial manufacturing

However, full training will be provided, so we also welcome applicants with transferable skills from other manufacturing or industrial environments.
