etiCloud is on the lookout for a motivated, customer‑focused IT Service Desk Engineer to join our growing IT Service Delivery team in Sheffield. What’s the job all about?

As an IT Service Desk Engineer at etiCloud, you’ll be the trusted first point of contact for our customers—helping to keep their systems running smoothly and their users supported.

You’ll work within a collaborative support team, resolving day‑to‑day technical issues, investigating recurring problems, and escalating where needed. No two days are the same, and you’ll constantly be learning as you support a varied customer base in a modern cloud environment.

What you’ll be doing

Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
Managing incidents and change requests via our ticketing system in adherence to SLA’s
Supporting Windows, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
Building strong customer relationships
Maintaining documentation and contributing to our knowledge base

Working hours

This role is office based with standard 8 hours per day Monday to Friday with staggered shifts between 08:00–18:00. We aim to assign Engineers to a shift of their preference where business coverage allows.

We also run a late shift 12.00-20.00 on a rotation to cover out of hours work. This role will also form part of our on-call rota once settled into the Service Desk Engineer role.

Skills and experience:

To be successful in this role it is essential to have experience of;

IT and desktop support in a business environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good problem-solving ability
Windows
Active Directory
Microsoft 365
Strong Customer Service skills

It would be advantageous to have experience of;

· Windows Server 2012 R2 - 2022

· Remote Desktop Services / Citrix

· VPNs

· VMWare vSphere

· Email Security Services

· Web Filtering

· Acronis Backup
