Dance Teacher Job Description – FSD Dance

FSD Dance is looking for 1 passionate and dedicated dance teacher to join our growing team. We are a close-knit, supportive school with over 250 pupils each week, delivering classes across Staffordshire & Derbyshire. Having been established for 6 years, we pride ourselves on creating a positive, inclusive environment for both staff and students.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging and high-quality classes to a range of ages (5–12 years). Classes run after school hours during the week on a Thursday Evening. You will also play a key role in preparing choreography for our annual shows.

What We’re Looking For

Experience teaching dance to a variety of age groups
Ability to teach styles such as commercial, street, and lyrical/contemporary
Strong choreography skills for performances and shows
A fun, creative, and energetic teaching style
Excellent time management and reliability
Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
Commitment to long-term growth within the school

Essential Requirements

Relevant dance teaching experience and qualifications
Enhanced DBS check
First Aid certification
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
