The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment Justice and Health team have an exciting new opportunity for an Employer Engagement Consultant to provide a quality recruitment service to The GC Employment customers and employers.

The Restart Scheme is a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiative that provides up to a year of tailored, intensive support to people who have been on Universal Credit for more than 6 months. It helps them to overcome barriers to employment through a wide range of employability support.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate employer leads through direct marketing, sales activity, meetings, and events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, stakeholders, and internal colleagues to maximise referrals and repeat business.
Identify labour‑market trends and employer needs, matching opportunities to customer caseloads.
Manage the full vacancy process, including advertising roles, pre‑screening candidates, arranging interviews, and gathering employer feedback.
Maintain accurate MI, follow operational procedures, and ensure compliance with data security, equality, and health & safety requirements.

About You:

Target‑driven with recent experience working in a sales environment and securing business opportunities.
Flexible, proactive, and comfortable travelling or working occasional unsociable hours.

Skills Required:

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills with the ability to close sales.
Solid understanding of recruitment, training services, and the local labour market.
Confident IT user with experience of CRM systems, spreadsheets, and managing information effectively.
