Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance operative to join our team. This role involves the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring that Grounds are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of horticultural knowledge and practical skills in Grounds maintenance, as well as experience with various tools and machinery

Duties

Perform Grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, and hedge cutting.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as ride on lawnmower, chippers, and handheld equipment for various maintenance projects.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Collaborate with team members to get the job done safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment.

Requirements

Proven experience in Grounds maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
PA1 and 6 qualifications preferred.
A driving licence held for longer than a year is essential and must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration. Join us in creating beautiful outdoor environments while utilising your skills in grounds maintenance!
Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS.
