Trainee Sales

Looking to break into sales and build confidence speaking to businesses every day? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for someone hungry to learn, develop strong communication skills, and grow within a fast-paced, hands-on sales environment.

This role is ideal for someone confident on the phone, motivated by targets and progression, and keen to learn the foundations of business development and outbound sales.

We’re a well-established structural steelwork company based near Bletchley, Milton Keynes delivering projects across London and the Home Counties. We’ve built our reputation on hard work, reliability, and a team-first attitude — and we’re now looking for someone ambitious to join us and grow with the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Working alongside a Senior Sales Estimator, your role will heavily involve outbound calling and helping generate new business opportunities. Daily tasks may include:

Cold calling potential customers and introducing our services
Following up leads and building relationships with clients
Speaking confidently with businesses over the phone and by email
Supporting the sales process from enquiry through to project completion
Updating CRM systems and internal records
Assisting with quotations, orders, and customer communication
General office support and getting involved wherever needed

What We’re Looking For:

Confident communicator who is comfortable speaking on the phone
Positive attitude and willingness to learn sales techniques
Motivated, resilient, and proactive personality
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
Someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
Ability to work on-site in a practical steel yard office environment
Full UK driving licence preferred due to office location

This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career looking to gain real-world sales experience, develop confidence in business communication, and learn how to build strong customer relationships from the ground up.
