Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools and techniques, and develop your expertise within the masonry and construction industry. The position is paid, with a focus on safety, precision, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents
Mixing plaster to the correct consistency using hand or power tools
Applying plaster smoothly and evenly to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using trowels, hawks, or specialised tools
Repairing damaged plasterwork and patching holes or cracks as required
Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building regulations
Assisting with related tasks such as bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, welding, or masonry work when needed
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout the project lifecycle
Operating various power tools safely and effectively during application processes

Qualifications

Proven experience in plastering or related trades such as masonry or carpentry is preferred
Proficiency with hand tools including trowels, hawks, and floats
Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
Knowledge of bricklaying, roofing, welding, and general masonry techniques is advantageous
Familiarity with the use of scaffolding and working at heights is desirable
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong commitment to health and safety standards on site
