Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional waitstaff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. A strong focus on food safety, time management, and guest satisfaction is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
Serve meals, drinks, and other items promptly and courteously
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the service area
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
Respond promptly to guest inquiries or special requests, ensuring a positive experience
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of service

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for enthusiastic learners
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques is desirable
Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions
