Legacy, the three-rosette fine dining restaurant at The Grand, York, is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen brigade. Open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner service, alongside occasional exclusive lunch events, Legacy is driven by seasonality, precision, and creativity. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef ready to take ownership of their section and refine their craft in a high-end kitchen environment. You will work closely with senior chefs to deliver exceptional dishes, maintain the highest standards, and contribute to the development of innovative menus. Our kitchen team is at the heart of delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of your section, playing a key role in delivering refined dishes to the highest standards while supporting the wider kitchen brigade. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Taking ownership of your designated section, ensuring it is organised, fully prepared, and consistently delivers exceptional standards throughout service.
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting refined, seasonal dishes with precision, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Leading the mise en place for your section, managing stock effectively, minimising waste, and ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for each service.
- Working closely with the senior chefs to deliver a seamless service, supporting and guiding junior chefs while maintaining excellent communication across the brigade.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in line with HACCP procedures, taking pride in every detail of your section and the guest experience.
