Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Hotel Receptionist to join our welcoming team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering memorable guest experiences through friendly and efficient service.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the booking system
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
Process payments securely and issue receipts or invoices as required
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
Address guest concerns promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Uphold hotel policies and procedures consistently to ensure safety and security for all guests

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist a diverse range of guests
Strong phone etiquette and excellent communication skills are essential for effective guest interaction
Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a friendly demeanour
Knowledge of hospitality software systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be available
