Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our busy café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience and possess a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork and efficiency are valued.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or snacks as required.
Serve customers efficiently whilst maintaining friendly and professional interactions.
Uphold food safety standards at all times, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately using till systems.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts.
Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies and organising stock storage areas.
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

Experience

Previous barista experience is essential; additional training can be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety procedures is desirable to ensure compliance with health standards.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
A positive attitude combined with excellent communication skills will help foster a friendly environment for both colleagues and customers.
