Junior Property Manager (Fixed Term Maternity Cover)

The Role
Coleman Estates is a leading independent estate and letting agency based in Wellington, Shropshire.
We are looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual to join our award-winning team as a Junior Property Manager on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lettings Administrator, Property Administrator or Assistant Property Manager looking to take the next step in their career. You will receive full training and ongoing support to develop your knowledge and confidence as you progress into managing your own property portfolio.
The role is varied and fast-paced, requiring someone with excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors.
- Manage a portfolio of residential properties with the support of an experienced team.
- Liaise with tenants, landlords and contractors to organise repairs and maintenance.
- Raise works orders and monitor progress through to completion.
- Obtain and process contractor quotations and supplier invoices.
- Organise periodic inspections and ensure inspection reports are reviewed and actioned.
- Prepare properties for re-letting following check-out.
- Handle end-of-tenancy deposit negotiations and disputes.
- Manage utility non-payments and discrepancies.
- Maintain out-of-hours emergency tenancy information with our external provider.
- Ensure property records are accurate and up to date.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced within the property industry, ideally as a Lettings Administrator, Property Administrator or Assistant Property Manager.
- Looking to progress into a Property Management role.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload.
- Professional, confident and courteous.
- Able to deal with confidential information with discretion.
- Self-motivated, proactive and a supportive team player.
- Naturally positive, practical and solutions-focused.
- Exceptionally organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Possesses a high standard of written English, grammar and spelling.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and property software systems.
- Knowledgeable about data protection principles.
- Industry qualifications are welcomed but not essential, as training and professional qualifications can be provided.
Salary & Benefits
- £26,500–£27,500 per annum, depending on experience.

- 20 days' annual leave, plus your birthday off and the 8 usual bank holidays (29 days total)

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.
- Minimum of one Saturday per month (9:30am – 1:30pm) on a rota basis, with a half day in lieu on the following Friday.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position commencing in September 2026. We are looking for someone who is eager to develop their career within Property Management and become an integral part of our friendly, award-winning team.
Pay: £26,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
