About The Role

As a General Sales Assistant within our stores, you’ll be delivering an efficient and reliable service to our customers who are at the heart of everything we do. You will be a customer advisor achieving our sales whilst living our Matalan Values; maintaining a high performing, energetic and adaptable energy – all whilst making sure that our customer’s experience in-store is at the forefront of our work.

You’ll have great exposure of a fast-paced retail sales environment; working across the shop floor, till area and stock room. General Sales Assistant - Evenings and Weekends

As a General Sales Assistant at Matalan in Shrewsbury, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assistance to shoppers during evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting customers with product inquiries, locating items, and offering product recommendations.
2. Processing transactions accurately using the point of sale system.
3. Maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
4. Restocking shelves and ensuring merchandise displays are attractive.
