Full-time, Monday–Friday 8-4pm

Based at our workshop in Swindon

Tom Faulkner is an award-winning design and furniture business, creating beautiful, distinctive furniture and accessories. We have a workshop in Wiltshire and showrooms in London and New York.

We are looking for an Operations & Logistics Assistant to join us in an exciting new role within our Swindon workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with administrative experience who is highly organised, clear-thinking, works well with people, and enjoys a challenge. Our workshop is small and dynamic, with a close-knit team of 18.

You will work alongside our Head of Operations to support day-to-day activity at the workshop, providing the administrative support that helps the whole team work efficiently and effectively — and ensures our customers always receive the best possible service.

Overview

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Logistics, your key responsibilities will include:

Providing full administrative support to the Head of Operations and Logistics
Acting as the key point of contact for customers for updates on their orders and deliveries
Being the first point of contact for all inbound phone calls to the workshop
Communicating progress to agents and clients at every stage of the customer journey
Helping keep creative projects on track
Managing IT and phone systems, and responding promptly to any issues

What we are looking for

3–5 years' experience in an office environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
Strong systems and IT skills, with a problem-solving mindset
Excellent interpersonal skills
A team player who is adaptable and proactive
