Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dispensing Assistant to join our Dispensary team. This entry-level position offers valuable experience in pharmacy operations and patient care, providing an excellent foundation for a career in healthcare. The role involves supporting the dispensing process, assisting with medication management, and delivering exceptional patient service. The position is paid and suitable for individuals keen to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Support the dispensary team with dispensing medications accurately under supervision
Assist in preparing prescriptions and organising medication stock
Provide friendly and professional assistance to patients and customers
Help with maintaining accurate records of medication dispensed and patient information
Support medication administration procedures as directed by qualified staff
Ensure the dispensary environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of dispensary procedures and medication management

Qualifications

No prior experience required; however, pharmacy experience or knowledge of medication administration is advantageous
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude
A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to undertake training and develop relevant skills for the role
