Full job description

ROLE:
HGV Class 1 Driver | Full Time | Hastings

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Poppypac Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of collecting and delivering goods and materials to various locations around the UK, whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road. You must be flexible as there will be nights away involved, sometimes all week with no prior warning so night out gear must be kept in vehicle.

Generally, you will be in your own vehicle, except for when MOT or PMI are required.

SALARY:
Depending on experience.

LOCATION:
This role will be based at our site in Hastings.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:

· You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations.

· Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times.

Various HGV duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use, complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
Local general haulage.
Occasional nights to cover tramper holiday.
Support Network.
Able to work Monday to Friday.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Licence/Certification:

· Clean Driving Licence (required)

· Driver CPC (required)

Experience:

· Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.

Communication:

· You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.

Influence & Persuasion:

· Build good working relationships with work colleagues and customers.

Planning & Organisation:

· You will be adaptable in your start and finish times depending on requirements.

People & Self Development:
