About Us:

At Kids Holiday Heroes, we are proud of our track record of providing high quality childcare. We are excited to be partnering with Uplowman School to provide exceptional wraparound care services. Our mission is to support working parents by offering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children before and after school.

Job Summary:

Hours: 7.50am - 8.50am or/and 15:30-17:30
Additional hours at Willand school term time are available

(We offer out of term time holiday club hours as well if required - 8:30 to 17:00)

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supervising and engaging children in various activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise children during before-school and after-school sessions.
Lead and assist with a variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
Maintain a clean and organised environment.
Assist with homework and provide support as needed.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a similar setting is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of care.
A relevant qualification in childcare or education is an advantage.
First Aid certification and a clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
A current food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
