Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Seasonal Supervisor/Assistant Manager to join our team during peak periods. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. Previous management experience is preferred but not necessary. This paid position provides valuable experience in team management and administrative tasks, making it an ideal stepping stone for future career growth.

Must be willing to work until 10/11pm most shifts. Must be available bank holidays, weekends, school holidays. NO time off to be taken in July & August, of course any important dates we will try to filter into your days off. We aren't unreasonable but we are coming into our peak season.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning during the seasonal period
Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high standards of organisation and efficiency
Support merchandising efforts by organising displays, stock replenishment, and ensuring the store presentation aligns with brand standards
Handle customer enquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Assist with sales management activities, including promoting products and upselling where appropriate
Maintain accurate administrative records related to staffing, sales, and stock levels
Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and organisational skills

Qualifications

Proven management or supervisory experience within retail, customer service or similar environments (preferred but not necessary)
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly advantageous
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a busy setting
Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative tasks preferred
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Previous experience in retail management or team supervision is desirable but not essential
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction
