Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice on a part-time basis, with the possibility of permanent or contractual employment. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of our clinic, responsible for managing patient appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a professional healthcare environment. Applicants should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards patient care.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
Handle patient check-in and check-out processes accurately
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Answer phone calls promptly, providing information or directing calls as appropriate
Manage correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and billing procedures
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Support the dental team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

Experience

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred
Experience working in a healthcare or dental setting is advantageous but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems is desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
