Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to loss prevention. The shifts schedule will run on a 4 on 4 off schedule, 12hr days.

Duties

Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to prevent unauthorised access.
Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard property and assets.
Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a calm demeanour in emergency situations.
Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks.
Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
First aid certification is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
