Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Leader to join our early education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and nursery experience, with the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while working within a supportive and professional setting. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, management abilities, and leadership qualities, with a focus on fostering growth and learning in early childhood.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children
Supervise and support children during playtime, learning sessions, and meal times
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that promote holistic development
Manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism, applying positive reinforcement strategies
Assist in organising special events, outings, and activities that enhance children's social skills and learning experiences
Uphold all policies related to childcare standards and early childhood education best practices
Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff when necessary
Be a responsible key holder and open and close the nursery

Experience

Proven nursery experience or prior work within early childhood education settings
Strong management skills with the ability to organise activities effectively
Demonstrated leadership qualities in managing groups of young children or supervising staff
Working knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds is desirable
