Job Summary

We are seeking motivated Pre-registration Training Pharmacy Technicians (Apprenticeship) to join our dynamic pharmacy team. This paid apprenticeship programme offers a valuable opportunity to develop essential skills in pharmacy practice, medication management, and patient care. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience under the supervision of two pharmacists, preparing for registration as a pharmacy technician. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and eager to advance their career within the pharmaceutical sector.

Tildamed Pharmacy is a small, family‑run community pharmacy committed to providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care. Our close‑knit team includes two experienced pharmacists who are passionate about developing the next generation of pharmacy professionals. We pride ourselves on a supportive learning environment where you will be guided, encouraged, and trained throughout your apprenticeship.

Duties

Assist with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
Support the preparation of prescriptions under supervision, including labelling and packaging medicines
Maintain accurate patient records and update pharmacy databases as required
Support medication administration processes, ensuring timely and correct delivery of medicines to patients
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries, offering advice within scope of practice, and supporting patient education
Organise stock levels, check expiry dates, and assist with stock replenishment to ensure the pharmacy operates smoothly
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures and confidentiality protocols
Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills

Qualifications

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a healthcare setting is essential
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication handling and record keeping
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
Demonstrated commitment to patient care and confidentiality in all tasks undertaken
Ability to work as part of a team within a fast-paced environment
A genuine interest in healthcare, medication management, and supporting patient wellbeing
