Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
Monitor food costs and optimise operational efficiency without compromising quality.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Extensive food production and culinary expertise across various cuisines.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead effectively.
Excellent food preparation, cooking, and presentation skills.
Solid kitchen experience with comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating adaptability under pressure.
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently.
Customer-focused approach with hospitality experience, including serving guests when necessary.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
