Nursery Assistant - Apprentice

Mia Rose Nurseries are looking for someone who would love a career in Early Years Childcare and Education. We are looking for someone who would be dedicated to completing a qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education. This could be a great opportunity for someone leaving school or college or looking for a change.

The children would like you to:

Be happy with a smiley face
Have lots of fun with us
Tell lots of stories (we like to use lots of props)
Do silly dances
Play lots of games with us
Play dressing up with us
Go on amazing outdoor adventures with us
Like to get messy
Make us feel safe
Help us if we are sad

You will be working towards a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator qualification. The qualification is work based, 5 days a week with occasional attendance to college when directed by the learning provider. An assessor will visit you every 4-5 weeks at work and they will also support you remotely.

Duties include:

Being a happy, positive and flexible member of a team
Making notes on children’s daily activities
Ensuring an excellent level of health & safety is maintained at all times
Interacting with children in a fun and educational manner
Assisting children with care routines
Supporting Qualified Early Years Educators to provide quality teaching

Working hours - Monday - Friday around 30 hours per week. A flexible approach to working hours is required including covering shifts at very short notice.

Please note - a pass in GCSE English and Maths required.
