Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Ice Cream Vendor to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers while preparing and serving a variety of ice cream products in a lively and friendly environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavours and toppings according to company standards
Operate cash registers and handle monetary transactions accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Upsell additional products or flavours to maximise sales opportunities
Assist customers with their selections and provide friendly, efficient service
Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during food preparation and service
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and giving correct change
Experience in kitchen or culinary environments is advantageous
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently
Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer experience and sales
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Organised with attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and stock levels consistently
