Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing ingredients and dishes, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about cooking and food preparation to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients for daily menu items, including chopping, peeling, and marinating.
Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep station and kitchen equipment.
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Assist with meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food quality and presentation.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Basic culinary skills, including meal preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Experience in serving or working directly with customers is a plus but not essential.
