Full job description

Kids R Us are looking for individuals who are interested in working as a 1:1 with a child with additional needs at our After school Club & at our setting located Fulbourn Primary School, Fulbourn, Cambridge, CB21 5BH

We are looking for a hardworking and passionate 1:1 playworker who is willing to work within our clubs using our ethos, values, policies, framework and procedures. We are looking for someone who has experience in supporting children with additional needs.

This role would entail working hours of:

THE START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS SEPTEMBER 2026

Afterschool Club - 3:00pm-6:00pm - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

12 hours per week during term time

Holiday Club - flexible (can be discussed)

You would work alongside the club staff in providing quality care for children. Fun, friendly and patient are all highly valued qualities you will need. You would be using your initiative to deliver good quality play sessions and support for the child.

Must have some understanding of child protection, safeguarding & caring for children with additional needs or willing to undertake training on this.
