Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and inspiring culinary excellence across all service areas.

Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management and respond to customer preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and promote teamwork
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency
Assist in the recruitment process for new kitchen staff and oversee their onboarding

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills
Experience in menu development and food innovation is desirable
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential, along with serving experience being advantageous
