Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment, providing excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and drink service, possess strong organisational skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This paid position is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the food service industry.

Duties

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables and counters
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Support baristas with drink preparation when necessary
Restock supplies and assist with setting up event spaces or dining areas
Handle customer enquiries promptly and courteously
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Experience

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for enthusiastic learners
Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial
Experience in restaurant service or barista work is advantageous
Familiarity with food preparation and presentation techniques is a plus
A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills is essential
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a lively environment
