Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Early Morning Cleaner to join our team at The Gibraltar Rock pub in Tynemouth. This role involves performing cleaning duties in commercial premises during early hours to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation, contributing to a professional and safe workspace. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking early morning work with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Duties

Conduct thorough cleaning of all front of house areas including bar, restaurant, corridors and bathrooms.
Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, switches, and fixtures to promote hygiene.
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management promptly.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently.
Reliable with good organisation skills and punctuality.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting light equipment or supplies.
A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility to work early morning shifts before standard business hours.
