Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for decorating to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. A valid driving licence is required to facilitate travel between sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Ensure all work meets safety standards and adheres to client specifications
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout projects
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated deadlines
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects, including surface preparation and finishing touches

Qualifications

Proven experience in painting and decorating or a related field
Strong knowledge of different paints, finishes, fillers, tools, and techniques
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Valid driving licence is required for travel between sites
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights

Salary starting from £140.00 per day depending on experience.
