With a team of around 60 employees and ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Assistant / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our busy warehouse team.

About the role
This is a varied warehouse role where you’ll help ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately and on time.
Approximately 80% of the role involves warehouse duties, including picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch, while around 20% involves operating forklift trucks to move stock and load and unload vehicles. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in doing a job well and always puts safety first.
Key Responsibilities
· Accurately pick products and components using picking lists.
· Pack and palletise customer orders safely and securely for transport.
· Load and unload vehicles, from Luton vans through to articulated lorries.
· Operate counterbalance, reach and stacker forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
· Move materials and finished products throughout the warehouse.
· Carry out daily warehouse housekeeping and maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
· Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and dispatched on schedule.
· Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
· Assist with stock organisation and general warehouse activities as required.
What we’re looking forEssential
· At least 1 year’s experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
· Current or recent experience operating counterbalance forklift trucks.
· Forklift certification or proof of training.
· Good spoken and written English.
· Comfortable working in a physically active role with regular manual handling.
· Basic IT skills to use warehouse computer terminals.
· Ability to read and understand picking lists.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
· Reach truck and/or stacker truck experience.
· Experience reading basic manufacturing or engineering drawings.

Working Hours
· Monday to Friday.
· Start times between 7:00am and 8:00am, depending on workload and deliveries.
· Flexibility is required during busy periods to help meet customer deadlines.
