Full job description

We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist & Office Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. As the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and contractors, you'll play a key role in creating a professional and welcoming environment while providing vital administrative support across the business.

About the Role

Working onsite from 08:30am – 5:00pm, you'll be responsible for managing front-of-house operations and supporting various departments with administrative tasks. This is a varied role that combines reception duties, office administration, facilities coordination, and general business support.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome visitors, clients, and contractors professionally and courteously.
Manage visitor sign-in processes and verify contractor identification.
Liaise with the Security Team regarding visitor and contractor approvals.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
Manage shared email inboxes and respond promptly to enquiries.
Provide administrative support across multiple departments.
Arrange catering for meetings and company events.
Ensure meeting rooms are clean, organised, and appropriately scheduled.
Support Finance and Procurement teams with purchasing and administrative activities.
Order and manage office supplies, stationery, and refreshments.
Coordinate cleaning services and report facilities-related issues.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a receptionist, front-of-house, or administrative role
Professional, friendly, and confident dealing with people at all levelsHighly organised with excellent attention to detail
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
Reliable, flexible, and able to use initiativeComfortable with occasional manual handling as part of a varied roleDesirable
Experience using visitor management systems.
Familiarity with security procedures and access control processes.
