Job Title: Part-Time Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant (AAT / ACCA)
Location: Wickford, Essex
Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible across 3–5 days)
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (3 months minimum)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective financial control.This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified professional looking for a flexible role within a dynamic SME environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, including purchase and sales ledgers
Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
Assist with monthly management accounts preparation
Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
Support year-end processes
