Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves managing administrative tasks alongside maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day office operations and ensuring the smooth running of bookkeeping functions using recognised accounting software. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to organisational efficiency while developing your professional skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Managing daily administrative tasks including correspondence, scheduling, and filing
Maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions using accounting software such Xero
Handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports for management review
Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Organising office supplies and maintaining an organised workspace
Supporting other administrative functions as required to facilitate business operations

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software including Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reconciliation
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively within a team
