Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm (Occasional Weekends)

Honest Foods London is a catering company working across film, TV and corporate events. We also donate meals to local charities and believe in doing things properly – with good food, good people and a focus on the community.
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. Honest Foods is an exciting, growing company and our name is built on big flavours!

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Lead and manage the kitchen team during service, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Train new team members on food preparation, safety procedures, and service protocols.
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials in collaboration with the culinary team.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a broad range of catering establishments - some restaurant background helps and some higher volume work is pretty essential.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and kitchen management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Solid understanding of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
Experience in restaurant service, including serving guests and managing high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is desirable.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
