Engagement: Casual position offering variable hours on a flexible basis

Location: The City Ground, Nottingham, NG2 5FJ

Department: Safety & Security

Reporting to: Safety Officer

About the Role:

To control entry through stadium turnstiles, verify tickets or passes, and provide a safe, welcoming first point of contact for supporters attending matches and events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Operating turnstiles or scanning electronic tickets at stadium entrances.
Checking tickets, season cards, and accreditation passes for validity.
Assisting supporters with entry issues (e.g., invalid tickets, scanning errors).
Providing directions and basic information to fans entering the stadium.
Maintaining orderly queues and managing crowd flow at entry points.
Ensuring entry procedures comply with stadium safety and security policies.
Reporting suspicious behaviour, incidents, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Supporting emergency procedures if required (e.g., evacuation instructions).
Delivering a polite, professional, and customer-focused service at all times.

What are we looking for:

Friendly, calm, and confident when dealing with large crowds.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy environment.
Comfortable standing for long periods outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to follow instructions and safety procedures strictly.
Team player, working closely with other stewards and supervisors.
